Fairview Covid Policy  

If you have a cough, fever or symptoms of coronavirus we ask that you please book a telephone appointment and not attend the practice. A doctor will assess your symptoms over the phone and if ask you to attend the practice. 

If you have symptoms that could be caused by Covid such as a cough, high temperature, shortness of breath or loss of sense of taste or smell for less than 10 days, please take a PCR Covid test. 

You do not need to take a PCR Covid test if it has been more than 10 days since your symptoms started, unless you have any of the following symptoms: 

• A high temperature, or feel hot and shivery. 
• A runny nose or sneezing. 
• Nausea or vomiting. 
• Diarrhoea 

Lateral flow tests are used for patients who have no symptoms to see if they have Covid and are unaware of this.
