Great social worker support service

I have been a patient for over 20 years. Due to my recent mental and physical health decline I needed to get support from the Fairview Medical Centre Social Worker.

The Fairview Medical Centre Social Worker’s support has been invaluable to assist me gain benefits I would never have been able to claim by myself or advocate for the extra assistance I have successfully gained.

I realise how fortunate I have been to access this service as friends in other areas/ GP practices cannot get this amazing level of support. I don’t take the service for granted and encourage the practice to showcase it. Adults need this service without it patients could genuinely experience personal and even family collapse.

The pressure on council social services teams means the support to people like me would be unlikely to take place. To be honest I would also feel uncomfortable contacting a council social worker as I am aware they are under staffed an struggling to assist vulnerable children etc.

The practice social worker operates in conjunction with the Dr/ Local health/ other charitable groups etc and in my opinion supports recovery in a holistic way. As the role is a part of the practice health and well being team means I am gaining a joined up level of support. It not only results in financial, health and well being benefit for patients but also the NHS too.

Thank you to the social worker and thank you to Fairview management team for being forward thinking to offer holistic and wide ranging services to help patients and the community.

Best Health Practitioners in the world!

Quality of doctors, nurses and reception is high, I am sure Dr Graham had her input on that! That should be international standard for medical practice. Caring, professional, person centred approach. Amazing.
Through 9 years I had a chance to deal with Fairview Team on many occasions. High standard and support consistent.

A very good practice

I am very lucky to be registered at this Surgery. The doctors are very kind and competent. Especially Dr M Graham who goes the extra mile to make me feel better, nothing is too much for her to sort out my health issues.

Lovely Team - Well Organised.

It must be really tough being in General Practice these days but everyone at Fairview, from the receptionists to the Doctors, always seem to be calm and considerate, despite the ruckus that some demanding patients make in Reception.
